Bolivian soccer player mistakes opponent’s head for a soccer ball…

August 26, 2009

Vodpod videos no longer available.

First the brawl between Mexico and Uruguay in an international basketball game scrimmage. Now we have a soccer player going all Jackie Chan on an opponent and kicking him in the face. That was a pretty brutal kick. I would suggest he give up soccer and maybe take up MMA. Then again you can’t wear cleets in a MMA fight, which might nullify his kicking ability, but I digress.

I have no idea of the what, how, or why for the above video and that’s mainly because soccer rates somewhere between women’s basketball and curling for me. But Gally informs me that it’s a Bolivian league soccer match. Which means…No clue. Does it have something to do with World Cup? No? Damn, I got nothing then.

But seriously that guy totally looked like he was doing one of those crazy flying kicks like Liu Kang from Mortal Kombat.

And I know a thing or two about playing Mortal Kombat. I wasted nearly 2/3s of my youth playing it in arcades. Yeah I was pretty badass. Not in the dorky “I play way too much” sort of way, but more in the “You just have such a good technique and  game plan” sort of way.

Umm, yeah so maybe the two are one in the same. But it’s not like playing that much emotionally scarred me because of all the bullying, and lack of real human interactions. I mean, if it did I clearly would have worked past it. Case in point, I blog. I tweet. Just last week I started wearing pants to let my dogs out. I…Damn…
